The Museographical study for the re-exhibition of the Heraklion Archaeological Museum is based on the presentation of the cultural wealth of the Museum (over 10.000 exhibits), with the proper placing of the projected objects and a neat visitor path through the historical periods. The surrounding walls of the building become a sculptural wall for the exhibits with the 222 special exhibition showcases for the archaeological finds (individual or single parts of larger sets), self-luminous, air-tight and swinging, with various opening systems, systems equipped with active control of relative humidity and temperature.
