A cellular high-rise department anchored by a subterranean lecture hub, topped with an intensive green roof park that elevates campus microclimates.
MasterPlan:TheBelvedereParkExtension
The core concept unfolds along three strategic axes, beginning with the extension of Belvedere Street into a vibrant academic park. This public landscape incorporates open-air event spaces, gathering nodes, and dedicated amenities designed to enhance the daily life of the academic community while significantly improving the local microclimate.

SubterraneanIntegration&TopographicalAdaptation
Capitalizing on the natural slope of the site, shared lecture facilities are embedded entirely beneath the park level. Topped with an intensive green roof, this subterranean configuration preserves ground-level open space, maximizes thermal mass, and seamlessly integrates large-capacity educational spaces into the surrounding terrain.

CellularArchitecture&SustainableLandmark
Rising above the green landscape, the Department of Biological Sciences takes structural cue from the biological cell—a central concept that defines its form, spatial organization, and visual character. Combining vertical functional efficiency with advanced bioclimatic and sustainable design strategies, the building establishes an iconic architectural landmark for the campus.
